The National Night Out (NNO) Program is community-police awareness raising event hosted by police departments and communities all over the nation.
The purpose of National Night Out is to:
Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs
Strengthen community spirit and build community-police partnerships
Send a clear message to criminals letting them know our community is organized and active in fighting crime
Departments in Texas usually host National Night Out events in October of every year.
